Hall Run
This was a university brief where we were tasked to produce a short video that combined photography with computer generated elements. I chose to have a robot run through a still image of a corridor.

To do this I took a photograph of a corridor and then recreated the geometry of the corridor in a 3D program. I then added a robot to the scene and animated it running through the geometry of the corridor that I had created. In the computer I placed lights on the right hand side of the image to match the windows which then cast shadows onto the recreated walls. Lastly, I placed a reflective element onto the floor.

Once the computer had rendered the sequence of the robot, shadows, and reflection in motion, I then superimposed those frames of animation onto the photo (using it as a background). A finishing touch was a simple camera pan and zoom to the finished video to add an extra dynamic to the shot.

The shadow matching of the original photo and my corridor geometry turned out well, but if I had more time I would have improved the modelling and animation of the robot.
